Signs of a Quality Sherwani

Wearing your wedding sherwani should make you feel like a Maharaja, but if the quality of the Sherwani isn’t up to scratch then you won’t be feeling like a King for very long.

A Sherwani is a Garment a Groom only buys once in a lifetime so they aren’t experts judging the quality of a Sherwani. Soon to be grooms have to rely on accurate consultancy to help them choose a special suit worth every penny they spend. To help you decide if the Sherwani is your perfect match, here are a few tips to help you choose the right one to proudly wear on your wedding day.

Fit

This is an important part of any Sherwani, how it looks on your body will affect how you feel when wearing it. You don’t want to be drowning in fabric or look like the Sherwani is not big enough. No matter how unique the design, if it doesn’t appear to be tailored for you then avoid buying it. When determining the right fit, think of the Sherwani as a suit. You should be able to comfortably move around in it without stress being placed on the fabric and the Sherwani restricting your movements. At Sherwani King, we offer a tailoring service to all our clients and perform adjustments for all our clients regardless of if they are purchasing or hiring their special suit to provide the perfect fit!

Fabric

Sherwanis are not known for their comfort so the fabric has to be soft against your skin. As you will be wearing it for a few hours at least you need to be comfortable in it.

They can be made of so many different fabrics and by mixing and matching the possibilities are endless. Examples of the fabric we offer include velvet, suede, brocade, silk and jamawar. Our stylists and designers will give you all the information needed so you can decide if the fabric represents your style and the look you want on your wedding day.

Design

Ok, this ones not necessarily about the Sherwani itself but more about the design process. When you go in for your consultation, all your ideas are considered by the designer. You probably have so many ideas of what you want your Sherwani to look like. After listening to your ideas your designers will advise you on how you could improve the design and what elements will and won’t work with the ideas you already have.
